Sega's Vision for Sonic Mania 2

I would love a Sonic Mania 2. My question is, does Sega have enough sense to do it? Do they understand that this is something that people would love? The teases are so all over the place, right? Like the Crocs thing, the schedule thing. I think either UK to my desk or I can hear your desk, and I was like, yo, look at this. And started talking about it. It might not actually happen.
