Introduction

This chapter explores the manipulation and weaponization of the Constitution for partisan and identity politics, and reflects on the concerning attempts by the extreme right and the woke hard left to devalue it. The discussion also touches on artifacts of American constitutional history, beginning with the original copy of the Declaration of Independence.
