The Senate May Proceed to a Vote if a Majority of Senators Prefer It
The proposal is that rule 22 be redrafted. The senate may proceed to a vote if a majority of senators prefers it, and that majority represents a majority of the population. So you had 55 % of the population opposed to a supreme court appointment, and yet it passes. And yet it passesin getting rid of the filibuster would permit this kind of anti majoritarian policy to occur. I think we may have one right now.
