Teaching Children's Feelings

Between the ages of seven and ten, it is essential for teachers to appeal directly to feeling. We must give children the feeling that just as they can speak, everything that surrounds them also speaks. It benefits children immensely when we develop this element of feeling in writing and then allow a faint echo of the intellect to enter. This is the best way to lead children toward their ninth year.
