The Advantages of Using a UAV to Guard a Port
The advantage of UUVs is their cost and relative ease of operation when compared to any type of a manned asset such as a naval vessel or an actual naval submarine. Some navies operate very small submarines like North Korea for example in Iran they have small submarines with very small crews that have limited range and limited capacity. Many militaries around the world are designing heavier systems heavier unmanned underwater vehicles that can carry a significant military complement such as torpedoes such as bombs such as missiles.
