Tracy Borman, best-selling author and broadcaster, is utterly brilliant. She's just written a wonderful book called Henry VIII, and the men who made him go for it. We all agree that Tudor England's most famous monarch left behind an extraordinary legacy - namely modern Britain. He changed the heart, mind, and face of the country more than anyone or anything else between the Norman conquest and the industrial revolution. If any monarch in English history was great, Alfred was great. And I commend that greatness to you all tonight.
