There are six ways to look at neardath experiences from a christian perspective. John burke's book is one of them, but i think his thesis is harder to sustain when you start reading the accounts themselves. Some conclusions aren't consistent with historic christianity, so we need to change historic christian doctrines to fit these experiences. But does that mean we ver we can verify their a supposed encounter with, you know, a shiva afterwards? Like, no, of course not. We have no way of verifying that at all.
