Why Is It So Hard to Get Treatment for Mental Health Issues Today

The responsibility for treating the mentally ill went from the states to the feds, but then the feds never funded that bill. So we end up where we are today, which is a mixture of community based treatment and state run hospitals. And then private treatment and all of them put together is just not enough. That's why it's so hard and so expensive to get treatment for mental health issues in the United States.
