Drivers will get a hundred dollar concession on their road registration fees in victoria. For the average driver, the evy road tax only adds 375 dollars per year. I think every state will move towards a e v road tax like all things in life. This panalyzes people who travel more to work. There's a lot of people out there who just get scared by these sort of things. But you need to do your sums. If it was charge a tax on car usage now to help transition quicker, then when you hit mass transition, introduce an e v for the first few years. It'll take a few years but i don't see any way around this.
