The Price Matters in Contract Negotiations
I think the issue that we have here with this running back conversation is that it's not the players like you mentioned. What is the price of this? Do I have to pay him $15 million? If I can get him at 10, all right, I'll do it. Or if I could get him at 12, maybe I'd do it. Price matters in contract negotiations when you have a salary cap sport like the NFL. There's 18 receivers that make over 18 million per year. Do I think all of them are worth it? Absolutely not. But the market dictates that and we're in a capitalistic system.
