Sweden's Housing Market Is a Great Case Study
House prices in Sweden are down 17% since the peak last year. The central bank, which you just mentioned was forecasting a 20% fall overall for this cycle. Now that's got to look optimistic now when we're already down 17%. So this is the difficult situation for central banks - they can't be too gloomy. You know, they have to kind of talk up the economy but at the same time,. they have to take away the punch bowl. This is where we see the two prints.
