The Zombi Thought Experiment

The zombi thought experiment was made popular, also by david chalmers, the philosopher. It is imagining a human being or creature who is exactly like a human being in every way and you couldn't tell from the outside,. But it turns out thereis no experience being had on the inside. D where does he go with that? Aside from proposing that, where does he take it from there? And if our intuitions still kindest scream that plants aren't conscious, i think this raises the question of what is evidence of consciousness in people?
