Most statistical work in political science focuses on data from recent years. But you're testing hypotheses relating to factors such as the availability of printed books and the emergence of movements for secular reform quite a few years ago. How do you even begin to construct a data set across national data set that's really going so far back in time? I started compiling this data set back in 2013 when I was also working in tandem on my first book.
