The Failure of Dodd-Frank Regulation
After 2008 there was Dodd-Frank, wasn't that the one where they tried to regulate. It looked at very specific problems and had a model of the 1930s type of regulation. But during the implementation under various presidential administrations in the US, it was the technical detail that was renegotiated. This type of regulation wasn't internationalized. You brought default, the same model, but also with exceptions, particular qualifications. The power of legal representation of the industry is very powerful now. It's difficult to act against it confidently as a public servant every time.
