The Rise and Fall of Domitian
The reign of Domitian is not to be sneezed at or ignored, though neither is it to be embraced as the second coming of Augustus. And in many ways, he set the stage for the coming century of brilliance for the Empire. The first emperor had famously inherited a city of brick and left it a city of marble. Among his many projects was the Arch of Titus, which was completed soon after his brother's death.
