Lacan: What marks a mustard pot is not what's inside but the label that's on the front. He says they take on more value when they're broken or dysfunctional. Lacan: It's only when the use value of the mustard pot breaks down and allows for some kind of otherworldly exchange value that we see some sort of an ultimate value popping up here.
