Gas Price Determinists - Is There a Correlation Between Gas Prices and Presidential Approval?

Joe Biden has said that it's been back and forth for the last few weeks between the Republicans and Democrats. That there could still be one event or one news Sort of cycle that could change them back in favor of the Democrats. What do you think that could be? Could it be a sudden declining gas prices in petrol prices in America? And what sort of one event would swing things back towards the Democrats? I mean Empirically looking across multiple presidents and multiple elections we do see a correlation between gas price and presidential approval But I think it would be a little crazy to say that that's like the only thing determining the election.
