Samuel Adams and John Hancock

John hancock was just 31 years old at the time of the townsenat crisis. After graduating from harvard in 17 54, he went to work in his uncle's import export house where he made a good living on government contracts during the french and indian war. But as successful as he was business wise, hancock was mostly obsessed with politics,. He soon fell under the sway of adams, who guided the young man's ambitions. Or, if you prefer the arch puppet master version of history, the machiavellian adams manipulated the rich and gallable hancock into doing his bidding.
