The Problem With Canning
Canning is an attempt to address the same problem of what do I do when I gather more apples and I can eat. And Locke is real clear on this. He says, again, if he would give his nuts for a piece of metal pleased with its color, or exchange his sheep for shells or wool for a sparkling pebble or a diamond then he invaded not the right of others. So you just exchange things for other things. Here it could be almost anything, but he's clearly talking about gold. Gold's as good as anything else.
