How to Make for Economics Radio?

Economics radio is a labor intensive show. We use computers for everything, but that doesn't seem to change much. A current episode isn't ten times better than an episode we made five years ago with less technology. So i'm wondering if we're broken, or if you can help somehow with a wonderful short cut.
