Tolkien's Leaf by Niggle

Lewis has a specific goal. He's telling stories that are enjoyable and point to something bigger than themselves, whereas Tolkien is trying to recreate in the written word something that has this existence in his own mind. When we no longer have a time limit on our creativity, what could possibly come of that? It's going to be awe-inspiring. But it also brings up this question of what exactly was happening with someone like Tolkien.
