The Forms of Knowledge Are the Repositories of Generations of Understanding
In the zen tradition, a mantras, i inner buddhist and pedantic traditions ama, the forms inherited when i was training as a potta are repositories of generations of understanding. By submitting yourself to the form, you are m opening yourself to receiving the understanding that has gone into them. And i think that's why these practices are so powerfuland why they last generation after generation. I know all three of us understand this, the understanding itself cannot be, it cannot be directly formulated. It has to be incoded in a form that is somehow acceptable,. Either as words or forms, physical forms.
