Is Endovascular Repair a Good Option?

In stable patients with contained injuries, meaning grades one through three of vessel injury, endovascular repair is an option. Ligation at the level of the diaphragm, IR embolization, and or pleurodesis options are rarely described but they do exist. Injuries to the thoracic duct can be managed with ligation if identified in the OR, by CHIEL,. Or with up to three weeks of no long-chain fatty acid TPN if it fails non-operative management.
