Ogesa: The mexican revolution was far more than a clash of war lords. Large structural forces are absolutely necessary to explain the onset of any revolution, he says. Individual choices do not set the social bounds for action, but they do dictate the long term results. This is not a bold thesis, i'm pretty sure how life goes it's basically just a restatement of karlmar marx' line that men make history in their own time and circumstances.
