Morgan Geyser and Anisa Weir became friends in the sixth grade at Horning Middle School. They were both 11 years old when they first discovered their mutual fascination with Slender Man. In 2009, a website called SomethingAlfel.com invited users to create paranormal images of children. Eric Nudsen was inspired by legendary horror writer Stephen King and HP Lovecraft.
