The Nine Worthies of Edward III
Edward III was a knightly king, so he loved tournaments. He would dress up as like a lowly hedge knight and he would go into the tournaments. And when they would say, who's your name? He would say, my name is Sir Lionel. All he wanted to be was good and noble and virtuous and due tournaments. During his reign, this is when Jeffrey Chaucer writes Canterbury Tales during the reign of Edward III.
