Stalin's Myth About Hitler's Death

Stalin treated the burned remains believed to be Hitler as a state secret from the beginning. He was purposely sending the allies on a wild goose chase, keeping them busy and pitting them against other dictators. Eventually, Stalin even suggested that the British were harboring Hitler themselves in their zone of Berlin. That was the last straw for British intelligence, who organized Hugh Trevor Roper's investigation.
