Generative art has been around for a long time, and it's always had a very niche following. What transformed generative art were instigram, twitter, the ability to kind of share up dated output with the world on a regular basis,. i think really just kind of brought it to light. Over the course of the last ten years, they've challenged themselves to innovate and create. Some of the stuff that came out of instegamin and twitter pre or block is just mind blowing.
