The Importance of Ending a Life
Dostoevsky's character Raskolnikov sets out the problem, should another die so that I can live my life to the fullest. Even those of us who aren't picking up an axe and heading for the staircase wrestles with issues. We're all making some choices about living at the expense of others. But that is a far cry from deciding to end a life for personal gain or for a higher purpose.
