The Importance of Self Confidence

I wonder, how much do you think self confidence plays into this? I'm imagining someone who takes a hard political stance, even though they're not in politics. Do you find that that's is that just me projecting? Or is it perhaps true that or is it perhaps untrue? And someone who is, I don't want to say the not confident or just less assertive, maybe, is what I'm going for. Could you get one of these that is very sort of soft touch, I suppose you could, right?
