The Bricker Amendment - The Supreme Law of the United States
At the time of the creation of the united nations, the charter had been ratified with the explicit assurance that it authorized no u n interference in domestic concerns. But now you have these court decisions suggesting that some kind of international agreement can indeed trump the constitution. What that means is that whatever popular control exists over the government would be severely attenuated. The key figure in pushing back against this was senator john bricker of ohio. That's why it became known as the bricker amendment.
