The owner of the place recognizes Winston and introduces himself as Mr. Charington, a friendly man who talks Winston through a few of the items he has to say around the shop. He says basically, antics are getting harder to come by and I don't know if that much have worth anymore in here. But he also shows Winston the room above the shop, which is furnished like an old-fashioned bedroom with a large bed. And most importantly of all, it has no telly screen.
