Netanyahu's Reaction to the Protests
Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu has been forced to back down on an issue of this magnitude. He fired the Defense Minister, Joav Galant, after the later called to basically stop the process and negotiate with the opposition. The next day, Israel largest labor union declared a general strike that shut down the entire economy for half a day. But as we speak now, there is an ongoing negotiation between the coalition and the opposition taking place.
