The Fed Is No Longer a Central Bank
The central bank model has effectively been forceully decentralized by the emergence of a uro dollar system. So then the fed is no longer a central bank, but it's becoming more of a marginal asset buyer. We're talking about central banking along the lines of the walter baget model and lending freely at high rates on good collateral. That's what a central bank ought to do.
