The Fat of the Land

Samuel, it says, was ministering before the Lord as a boy wearing a linen ephod. He's dressed more or less like a priestly servant. This is another part of the contrast between Eli and the sons between Samuel and the sons of Eli. They're both involved in some sort of like tabernacle, priestly worship setting.
