Getting Through the Sticking Region of the Squat

The total a knee extension moment that the quads are producing is going down pretty precipitously as the concentric starts, and it's quite low by the end of the sticking region. So if you can just tick your knees forward half an incha, that tends to be all it takes for most people to get the bar moving again and break through the sticking area. And so what you see is, throughout the sticking region, basically the relative contribution of hips is going up. Relative contribution of calves, basically flat. And relative contribution of the quads going down.
