GPT-3 Exceeds Previously Measurable Capabilities

People have a tendency to draw erroneous global conclusions about GPT, from behaviours which are prompt contingent. The verdict that knowledge is purely a property of configurations cannot be naively generalised from real life to GPT simulations. physics and configurations play different roles in the two, as I'll address in the next post. Here's a footnote after GPT-3 exceeds previously measured capabilities given alternate conditions of generation: It beats open AI few-shot benchmarks with zero-shot prompts,. 400% increase in list sorting accuracy withzero-shot python prompt; up to 30% increase in benchmark accuracy from changing the order of few-shot examples - including capitalising the ground truth.
