Nigerian leaders have called for help from Russia's Wagner mercenaries after neighboring countries threatened military intervention if the country's ousted president was not restored by Sunday. The Wagner troops are certainly stationed in nearby Mali, but there is no evidence of them being in Niger itself yet.
