The uncanny is a disquieting recurrence of the familiar. It's not just like, death drive is always uncanny, right? I think in horror film, I don't know that there's a better example than the twins in the Shining, right? Yeah. This is of course like, this is a huge thing in horror, is invoking the uncanny - and it's different from how it plays out in films such as The Shining.
