The Red Cloud Chief's Story

The Red Cloud chief was the local newspaper there and it printed some of her early work. As she became a writer for the Nebraska State Journal as a college student during her time there, she decided to major in English instead of becoming a physician. She also had cropped her hair short and was using the name intermittently William Cather because it was a profession dominated by men.
