Language Is Not Necessary for Consciousness
I was just thinking about, when you mentioned our worms conscious um, what it were like if fish are conscious? What if they are, but there they just don't have the ability to verbalize theyr perince because they don't have a language system in these species? What if language is somehow in the way of from us getting to really understand consciousness? And obviously, as far as we know, were the only organisms capable of a so expressing or n mental states. But there's no question that o guage is not necessary for consciousness. I think everybody would agree with that, if it greatly enhances it.
