Is the King James Bible a Study Bible?

In a liturgical context, I think a lot of people are completely wedded to it still. Even people who are not like fundamentalists find that its language is just so powerful and resonant with them. But if you're talking about a study Bible, like you really want to know what the authors said as closely as you can, it's not a good Bible for that. So in my class as a chapel hill, I don't let my students use the King James.
