The Kernel Density Estimation Technique
The kernel density estimation technique allows you to go a step further. You can generate new data points from a finite data set. That's a pretty powerful technique, right? So you have a finite number of houses for sale in a large city. You could also generate or resample that distribution infinitely many times and get all the possible prices with realistic or measured probabilities.
