The Importance of Starting With the Idea
I'm not talking about building houses, but doing a piece of art would be the same thing. I understand exactly what he's saying when he says there's a, there's a top down because it has to start with the idea. And that's equally true of somebody who's building stone walls as it is of someone who's making an artwork. It's actually the ambiguities that occur in the construction from the bottom up that make the art more beautiful. If you're building a house and you're working with organic materials, the beauty of the wall is going to be guided by the materials that you end up working with. So beginning architects can see this pattern here and say that
