Are You a Dogmatic Scientist?

For an academic or for really anybody for whom a large part of their life is dedicated to their work, I think that just gets tied up in so many questions of self-identity and the previous history. So it's not just I use the framework of Bayesian thinking to attack these problems, but I am a Bayesian, which is so much more core as an identity statement. That anti-dugmatic stance is really important. It's kind of detaching yourself and your emotion from what you have done in particular I'm at it, but not what you're going to do next.
