Ancient Egyptian Artifacts at Hiracompolis
Tomb 100 was excavated in around 18 98 by frederick w. Green, an english egyptologist. Some experts have suggested that between five and ten thousand people were living there before the dynastic era of ancient egypt. The remains of baboons, hippopotamuses, harter beasts, elephants and wild cats have been found,. suggesting that someone was keeping a menagerie. Many bones show signs of healed injuries, which points us towards this suggestion. One of the artifacts found at hierocompolis is an ivory statue, which has actually been carved from a hippopotamous tooth. So therefore it is an entire foot long.
