Foucault's Rebuttal to the Repression of Sexuality
The question of sex was actually a constant preoccupation not something that people were repressed repressing or that they were repressed and this was an institution indicative of that repression. Foucault says that one only has to glance over the architectural layout the rules of discipline and their whole internal organization all referred in the most prolix manner to the sexuality of children. The Christian pastoral always presented it as the disquieting and dangerous secret which must be confessed, he writes.
