The idea is that we put it in chunks. Each chunk being a reasonably small amount of memory, like 50 or 100 megabytes. So the system chunks it up and then what it does is as your program is running, it thinks about this sort of at the page level. And depending on what it's doing, it needs different blocks of that data to be located together on the same machine. Because you don't want to try to translate the long tail of all these libraries and stuff.
