The Scary Side of Cycling in Toronto
I was able to walk without really thinking much about what the adjacent cars were doing in Vancouver. But after moving here, every time you go through an intersection, even if you have a walk signal, you have to watch. I believe it to be the case where at this intersection, which is Christie and Dupont, Dupont being a basically a raceway. It's like Daytona 500 on Dupont Street. The only time a driver will stop at that stop sign is if there's another car in the intersection or sometimes if somebody's crossing. They just don't stop at all. Like it's actually scary.
