If in doubt go for the slightly underexposed then the overexposed you don't want to blow your highlights. Anything that doesn't move that's always a good idea yeah to do okay great fantastic advice all right so that's the setup and um pretty much everything that you need to do uh the other one final thing is if you've got a painting that you know how some pain is really pile on the paint it might be like three inches of paint but there are obvious areas of texture in the image what you can do is you want to do something called raking the light across the painting.
